What is Hydro-Jetting?

Sometimes homeowners run into constant drain back up with multiple plumbers having to come to your home. With Cruz Plumbing & Rooter, we try and educate and give you options on solving your plumbing issue the first time around. When you have build-up in your pipes, running the snake will only puncher the clogged drain. Unfortunately, the remaining debris causes the outflow debris coming from your home to get caught up again.

Hydro-jetting is often a SOLUTION to getting those pipes cleaned up and flowing smoothly.

How Does Hydro Jetting Work?

Hydro-jetting is a hose line that we push through your cleanout from your home and fluctuate the pressure as it enters through the sewer. High-pressure water is used to wash the walls of your sewer and drains lines. It is a pressure washer on steroids. We use a back and forth motion to break down the sludge and debris built up due to toilet paper, baby wipes, oil, and waste.

Does My Home or Business Need Hydro Jetting?

At times, not always when needing to clear your drains, the good old simple snaking does not always clear the line in its entirety. When the line is thick with sludge, grease, and debris, the snake only creates minimal access in the blockage. When you bring in a hydro-jetter, you can break away the debris and grease and see the line's integrity. Unfortunately, sometimes when you run the camera, the walls of the sewer are so caked up and clogged that you cannot see if the line is compromised.

Benefits of hydro jetting include:

  • Less drain and pipe problems

  • Cut out root intrusion issues that can later cause more significant issues

  • Foul smells

  • Avoid sludge building up and causing more extensive blockages
